Frequently asked questions

Q: What makes Washington Crossing Spring Brewfest different from other beer festivals?

A: Most brewfests offer expensive VIP tickets that allow you to sample unique or special beers. In contrast, our brewfests tap beer and malt beverages throughout the day for everyone, at no extra charge. Here are some other reasons our brewfest is unique:

• More than 100 beers from dozens of breweries

• Beautiful wooded setting overlooking the Delaware River

• Mouthwatering food vendors

• All proceeds benefit the Friends of Washington Crossing Park

• Special commemorative glasses

Q: Where is the Washington Crossing Brewfest held?

A: The Brewfest is held in Washington Crossing, located in scenic Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Washington Crossing Historic Park (PA) preserves the site where General George Washington and his troops crossed the Delaware River on Christmas night 1776 and marched to Trenton, NJ. The address is 1638 River Rd, New Hope, PA 18938.

The Brewfest is located right next to the Delaware River in a shaded, wooded landscape. It is in the upper part of the park, behind the historic Thompson Neely House and Farmstead. This is across River Road from Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve, which is located 2.5 miles from the center of New Hope, Pennsylvania, and 4.5 miles from the four-way stop sign in Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania.

Q: What happens if it rains?

A: This is a rain or shine event. Extra tenting will be provided if the forecast calls for rain. Guests are also encouraged to dress for the weather.

Q: Do I need to bring a photo ID?

A: Pennsylvania state law stipulates that everyone who enters the Brewfest must present a valid photo ID. We will check all IDs at the gate, even if you appear to be over the age of 21.

Q. Do I need to bring my ticket?

A: Yes, please bring your tickets with you and have them ready to scan as you enter. Electronic or hard copy is fine.

Q: I just found out I can't attend, but I've already purchased a ticket. How do I get a refund?

A: Tickets are nonrefundable. This means that refunds will not be granted for any reason. However, you may pass your ticket on to a third party as long as that person is 21 or older and can provide a valid photo ID. The name on the ticket does not have to match the name on the guest's photo ID.

Q: I can't find the email that contains my ticket. Can you resend them?

A: You can retrieve your missing tickets here by entering the email you used to purchase them. If you’ve done this and you still don’t have your tickets, you may have entered your email address incorrectly. Please contact us at info@washingtoncrossingpark.org to resolve this.

Q: Can I buy beverages?

A: This is a sampling event only - no additional alcoholic beverages will be sold. Attendees will receive 2-ounce pours of many different kinds of beer and malt beverages. Non-alcoholic beverages can be purchased from food vendors.

Q: How can I get involved as a food vendor or participating brewery?

A: Breweries and food vendors interested in participating should check the Vendor Information page or email Katherine Manning at kmanning@washingtoncrossingpark.org for more information.

Q: Can I re-enter the Brewfest area once I’ve left?

A: No. Once you have left the grounds, re-entry is not allowed. Bathrooms, water, and food are available on-site. There is no ATM, most vendors take cash, card, or Venmo.

Q: What are my transportation options?

A: Attendees being picked up or dropped off by friends or a ride-sharing service should do so only at the designated pick-up points on site. Attendees may not walk through private property or along River Road when arriving or leaving the event. Bowman’s Tavern is NOT a drop-off/pick-up location and has a zero tolerance policy about serving anyone visibly intoxicated.

Q: Where can I park?

A: Parking will be clearly marked near the Brewfest site. Please designate a driver (a limited number of DD tickets are available for each event). Cars cannot be left overnight after the event.

Q: Is the event wheelchair accessible?

A: There is an accessible parking area close to the event entrance and accessible portable bathrooms on site. The area where Brewfest is held is dirt, but overall flat and maintained.

Q: Is smoking permitted?

A: Vaping and cigarettes are permitted, but cigars and drug use are prohibited. Please be respectful of other attendees when smoking.
